Jollibee Foundation and AF-USA Partner for Feeding Program Campaign!
11/3/2009 | Ayala Foundation USA
Since October, Jollibee, one of the most-loved Philippine fast food chains in the Philippines, has not only been serving their best-selling burgers, it has also been offering loyal customers the chance to help kids stay in school through its in-school feeding program. Now, Jollibee has partnered with Ayala Foundation USA so even patrons in their US branches can help in this worthy cause!
Last October 21, 2009, a memorandum of agreement was signed between Jollibee Foundation and AF-USA, effectively making the two institutions partners in the Feed the Future in-school feeding program. The campaign is part of an ongoing project that aims to feed undernourished students from select public elementary schools in the country. "We are very glad for this opportunity to partner with Jollibee Foundation," says AF-USA President Victoria Garchitorena. "Malnourishment is indeed a serious threat that plagues our education system. Kids, who could have otherwise been bright students, are unable to finish school because they lack the strength and nutrition they need to remain alert and ready learn. We are thus very grateful to be part of a program that helps alleviate this situation."
The donation cans will be in all Jollibee and Red Ribbon branches in Nevada and California until December 2009. Please encourage your friends and family to visit these stores! Jollibee's yummy burgers and Red Ribbon's sumptuous cakes will taste even better when you know you're doing something good for our underprivileged brothers and sisters.
